My May Favourites

It’s nearly the end of May and I can’t believe it, this year is absolutely flying by!

Last night I spent a while looking back at everything that’s happened this month and what a month it’s been. From easing out of lockdown (hugging and sleepovers!) to starting a blog, I’m feeling incredibly grateful for this month and really proud of what I’ve achieved. I never imagined that this little idea at the back of my mind could turn into a fully functioning website and blog. I’ve also discovered and enjoyed a lot of new products, companies and accounts and I thought I’d share them with you. So here are my five May favourites:

1. Deliciously Ella

You’ve probably already gathered that I’m a bit obsessed with Deliciously Ella, she is pretty awesome and provides resources that make being a vegan easier, what more can I say! This month I’ve been really in to her podcast which she hosts with her husband, there have been an impressive variety of guests ranging from author Matt Haig to nutritionist Rhiannon Lambert and the queen of sustainable fashion Livia Firth. It’s an incredible listen.

We also bought a selection box of her products this month and they are delicious, I think the caramel cups and granola are my favourite but it’s a pretty hard decision. I remember my absolutely joy when I found out that you can buy them from most supermarkets as well, I’d highly recommend giving them a try.

And finally (I promise I’ll stop going on about her in a second!) I purchased her app subscription this month and it is absolutely awesome! There are so so many recipes and also a whole host of yoga, workout and meditation videos. If you’re looking to get into plant based cooking or wellness check out the app as there is so much content,

2. Eco deodorant

Since I’ve been trying to use less plastic and reduce my negative affect in the planet I’ve been looking at more sustainable options and swapping plastic for cardboard always feels really good! This deodorant smells so lovely and is completely natural. Give it a try!

3. Shampoo and conditioner bars

Another eco swap coming your way this shampoo bars from My Little Eco Shop. This shop has basically all of your eco essentials (you can get the deodorant from there) and it’s all really reasonably priced. The shampoo bars are the most amazing colour, I have a bright pink one at the moment (!!) and the conditioner bars are super moisturising.

4. Order yoga

This company make absolutely lovely yoga clothes and jewellery, I’ve bought a pair of leggings and an anklet! They are both so gorgeous and comfy. Order yoga also supports women’s rights with 10% of profits going to charities supporting women, all products are made from sustainable materials and they also work to fight breast cancer. So buying clothes almost feels like a good deed!

5. Cat Meffan

Again another one of my slightly over the top favourites! This lady is pretty fabulous, she is an awesome yoga teacher on YouTube, has her own online community and app (called Soul Sanctuary) and has a lovely home inspiration Instagram. Her yoga flows are absolutely beautiful and so so relaxing, most are suitable for all levels, so everyone can give it a go. Also, recently she’s been posting the most empowering photos on her Instagram that make me feel so confident and proud of being me!

I hope you had a lovely May and enjoy some of these suggestions! Let me know if you check them out.
